Smartlog Supply Chain Solutions Corporation (Smartlog) has successfully completed Phase 1 acceptance of its Smartlog Control Tower (SCT) project for a major FMCG enterprise in Vietnam, marking another milestone in strengthening data-driven supply chain management capabilities.

The project aims to integrate warehouse, transportation, and order data into a centralized platform, providing operations teams with end-to-end supply chain visibility, reducing the time required for data consolidation, and improving responsiveness to real-world operational disruptions.

About Our Customer

Our customer is a major FMCG enterprise with an extensive manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution network. Its supply chain operations require continuous coordination across multiple departments, operational sites, and technology systems.

As operations continue to scale, the challenge extends beyond digitizing individual business processes. The enterprise needs a centralized management layer capable of connecting data from multiple sources, establishing a unified view of operations, and transforming data into actionable insights for decision-making.

Prior to the Control Tower project, Smartlog had already supported the customer in implementing warehouse and transportation management platforms. This established a strong foundation for both parties to further expand into data integration and enhance end-to-end supply chain management capabilities.

About the Smartlog Control Tower Project

Phase 1 of the project was implemented across six warehouses in Northern and Southern Vietnam, focusing on consolidating data from operational systems and establishing a unified management view.

Smartlog Control Tower enables relevant departments to access near-real-time data through a single platform, eliminating the need to manually consolidate and reconcile information from multiple sources.

With this capability, operations teams can:

  • Monitor end-to-end operations through a single, consistent source of data.

  • Quickly identify key performance indicators and operational issues requiring attention.

  • Reduce the time spent consolidating, reconciling, and analyzing data.

  • Improve cross-functional coordination when operational exceptions arise.

Beyond data visualization, the project also incorporates alerting and forecasting capabilities, helping the enterprise gradually shift from reactive operations management toward a more proactive approach.

The application of AI-powered operational capacity forecasting also provides additional insights to support resource planning ahead of significant fluctuations in demand or operational volumes.

Turning Data into an Operational Decision-Making Tool

The project's core value lies in establishing a single, reliable source of information, enabling data to become a practical tool for management and decision-making.

At the operational level, near-real-time data helps bridge the gap between actual activities on the ground and the information management teams need to take timely action.

At the management level, the centralized platform enhances data transparency, traceability, and reliability, supporting more informed performance evaluations and business decisions.

Building the Foundation for Advanced Supply Chain Management

The successful completion of Phase 1 acceptance marks an important project milestone while laying the groundwork for the enterprise to further expand its forecasting, alerting, advanced analytics, and operational decision-support capabilities in subsequent phases.

For Smartlog, the project further demonstrates its commitment to developing a deeply integrated logistics technology ecosystem, extending from warehouse and transportation management to data connectivity and end-to-end supply chain orchestration.

By connecting data across operational layers, enterprises gain a stronger foundation to understand what is happening throughout their supply chains, respond faster to disruptions, and make more proactive, data-driven operational decisions.
