SMARTLOG SELECTED FOR WMS IMPLEMENTATION BY MULTINATIONAL LUBRICANTS MANUFACTURER

Table of contents
Smartlog Supply Chain Solutions Corporation (Smartlog) has officially kicked off a project to implement its Smartlog Warehouse Management System (SWM) for a multinational lubricants manufacturing and distribution company.
Building on the successful implementation of its Transportation Management System (STM), this new project marks another milestone in the customer's logistics digital transformation journey. The initiative aims to strengthen operational efficiency, enhance system connectivity, and establish a more integrated, data-driven approach to logistics management.
The customer previously selected Smartlog Transportation Management (STM) to digitalize transportation operations, manage logistics service providers, and monitor vehicle cargo compartment opening and closing status. Its decision to further expand the partnership through the implementation of Smartlog Warehouse Management (SWM) reflects a continued commitment to technology adoption, operational excellence, and stronger connectivity across supply chain functions.
Enhancing Warehouse Management Capabilities in the Lubricants Manufacturing Industry
The customer is part of a multinational corporation specializing in the manufacturing and distribution of lubricants, offering a diverse product portfolio for transportation, industrial applications, and consumer markets, serving both domestic and international customers.
Managing multiple inventory categories, including raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods, requires a high level of accuracy in inventory control, product traceability, and material flow management. Effective coordination across production, warehousing, and distribution operations also places increasing demands on data management capabilities and operational efficiency.
Recognizing these requirements, the company continues to invest in digital technologies to standardize warehouse processes, modernize inventory management, and strengthen its long-term supply chain management capabilities.

Implementing Smartlog WMS with SAP Integration to Strengthen Warehouse Data Connectivity
The Smartlog Warehouse Management System implementation is scheduled to take approximately six months, covering three key warehouse categories: raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods.
Smartlog Warehouse Management (SWM) is designed to digitalize and standardize core warehouse operations, enabling detailed inventory management by storage location, Stock Keeping Unit (SKU), pallet, production batch, manufacturing date, and expiration date.
The system also supports First-In, First-Out (FIFO) and First-Expired, First-Out (FEFO) inventory management principles, along with intelligent put-away recommendations, picking operations, and stocktaking processes. These capabilities are expected to improve inventory accuracy, enhance operational consistency, and optimize warehouse resource utilization.
A key component of the project is the integration of Smartlog SWM with the customer's SAP enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. This integration aims to synchronize inbound, outbound, and inventory data, strengthening connectivity between enterprise management systems and day-to-day warehouse operations.
By improving data synchronization and reducing manual processes, the integrated solution is expected to enhance inventory visibility, strengthen data reliability, and support more effective inventory control and material coordination.
The implementation of Smartlog SWM will also establish a centralized warehouse data foundation, supporting inventory management, production coordination, and the continued modernization of the customer's logistics operations.

Strengthening a Long-Term Partnership Towards an Integrated Logistics Ecosystem
Building on its experience and operational understanding gained through the previous STM implementation, Smartlog will continue working closely with the customer throughout the SWM project, including business process assessment, solution design, system configuration, testing, user training, and go-live preparation.
The expansion of the partnership through SWM, following the implementation of STM, demonstrates the customer's continued confidence in Smartlog's technology and project delivery capabilities. It also reflects Smartlog's commitment to developing interconnected logistics solutions that address the increasingly complex operational requirements of multinational manufacturing enterprises.
Through this project, Smartlog further reinforces its role as a logistics technology partner, supporting enterprises in their digital transformation journeys by standardizing operations, improving management efficiency, and enabling more effective use of technology and data across supply chain activities.
The initiative also represents another step in Smartlog's strategy to develop an integrated logistics technology ecosystem, delivering sustainable, long-term value to customers in Vietnam and international markets.
